Hello.. I am Kishor, 26 years old freelance Photographer based in Kathmandu. My hometown is in Bara district of Nepal, situated in mid-lowland of Nepal. I have been living, studying and working in Kathmandu for last 15 years.
I am pursuing my Masters in Mass communication and Journalism, from College of Journalism and Mass Communication, Kathmandu. I was posted as an intern at Drik India, Kolkata for 10 months through Fredskorpset Norway’s South -South exchange program in the year 2008/09.
I am striving to learn Visual language and I am sure this program is going to be very constructive. I am basically interested in Human Interest and narrative Photography. Presently I am working as a freelance photographer in Kathmandu.

MY STORY IDEAS:
Tharu Community in my Hometown
I’m born and brought up in Terai, the lowland of Nepal. I am very much interested to prepare a visual narrative of ‘Tharu’, an ethnic and marginalized community living in my home town.
Christian Community in Kathmandu
Nepal was basically a Hindu Country till it was declared republic and secular in the year 2008. Christianity is still one of the religious minority group, but number of converted Nepali Christians is growing every year. I am interested to capture lifestyle of my converted Christians friends, in Kathmandu Valley.
Youth of an emerging Country
Nepal is passing through very crucial political and social change, but urban youths seems quite unaware of country’s present situation. I am interested to prepare a visual narrative on ‘Young generation’, mainly on the street and some places in Kathmandu where they gather and hang around.
