Hi, I am Narendra Mainali. Education consultant by profession, I am a freelance photographer who began photography since 2006. I am currently pursuing a course on Film Studies, as well.
Though it started early, photography in Nepal is still in its preliminary phase in terms of global presence and exposure. But the recent years has seen rise in Nepali photography and both amateur and professional Nepali photographers are working in several fields of photography like documentary, landscape, wildlife, portrait, photojournalism, commercial, and even some abstract photographic art form. People and lifestyle are my favorite subjects. I am equally interested in portrait and silhouette photography apart from the slow shutter experiments. To photograph the people and their lifestyle, I have extensively traveled to several parts of Nepal.
With the insight into a world of no boundaries, this workshop on Photography would work as pillar to the abilities and skills I would be able to acquire. The experiences and knowledge that I hope to gain is what I would apply to my practical ways of my photography.

Windows
Windows often have several connotations. Not just the physical area or opening of a house, it carries several meanings in our culture. I would like to capture the windows and lives seen in or out of it.
Story of Water
Water is a liquid asset and has importance in every aspect of human life. Water is a basic human right as well. But we are facing several consequences in the lack of water. I would like to work in depth on this issue.
Cremators
I am also very much interested to work on the life style of the people who cremate dead bodies in the holy shrines like the Pashupati Temple, in the bank of Bagmati River in Kathmandu.
